The CI Centre is an education company that provides high-quality professional training courses on Counterintelligence Strategy and Tactics; Counterterrorism Strategy and Tactics; Security/OPSEC Awareness; Economic Espionage Protection; and International Travel and Safety.

These are frequently asked questions about attending our courses. If you have a question that is not listed, please contact us.

How can I take one of your courses? What are the course dates? Can you send me your course schedule?

CI Centre courses are only held when an organization sponsors a private course running or a program of multiple runnings for their own employees. We're sorry, but we do not have courses open to the public and you cannot attend another client's private course running so we do not make course dates/schedules available (but we do have a course catalog). If you as an individual want to attend CI Centre courses, you have to attend a course that your organization has sponsored for its employees.

How can I find out if my organization offers CI Centre courses?

Contact your training office with a list of our courses and ask them if they've contracted to the CI Centre to run any of these courses for your organization.

What if my organization doesn't have a contract with the CI Centre to provide the courses?

Be a proactive leader and let your manager, human resources office, security office and/or the organization's training purchaser know about CI Centre courses and ask them to consider sponsoring one or more courses you are interested in for your organization. You can give them how to create a training program, the course descriptions or the course catalog along with our Why Outsource Training and attendee feedback.

OR: Let us know the name and phone number of your manager, training officer or training purchaser and we'll contact them with this information. We'll do all the work for you so you can attend our courses with the added plus of your coworkers benefitting from our training. A secure organization well-trained in counterintelligence, security and counterterrorism topics: priceless!

How can CI Centre training help my organization?

The CI Centre can immediately provide your organization with a robust, multi-level, ongoing Training Program that trains ALL employees at all levels for:

  • Increased awareness of potential threats and vulnerabilities

  • Increased support and buy-in to your organization's CI, CT and security missions

  • Increased protection of your organization, employees, information and buildings against terrorists and spies

The key to a successful training program which accomplishes the above is to 1) select a series of CI Centre courses; 2) offer these courses on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, bimonthly, etc); 3) for a multiyear period (multiyear contracts also get price discounts).

We are a 'turn-key' company meaning we do all the work for your organization and make you look good: We can register students, provide as many training courses as you need on a weekly or monthly basis, use our fully-equipped training facility in Alexandria, VA or go to your location, provide certificates of training completion, and more.

Our courses contracted at firm-fixed prices (NO time & material) meaning no cost overruns for you. Our pricing model where you don't have to pay for cost overruns and development means our prices are lower than the national average--more savings to your organization.

We continually update and enhance our courses on our own time and money, not yours, because we own and deliver our courses and want to make them the most relevant and timely for you.

Can you modify CI Centre courses to meet our organization's specific needs?

Yes! We can easily tailor courses for your organization and take different modules in or out of a course so that it's the most relevant for your organization's needs.

What are your class size minimums?

Class sizes are minimum 25 attendees. Our classrooms in Alexandria, VA hold 25 to 30 people max. If we give the course at your location, the size depends upon the room, and it is still a per person per day cost. We also have special rates for class sizes with a minimum of 12 attendees.

What is the length of the courses? What time do they start and end?

The lengths of CI Centre courses range from one day to five days. Starting and ending times are the decision of the organization who buys the course.

How often are you able to run courses for my organization?

As many times as your organization needs the courses to be run. For example, if you have 500 employees you need trained, let us know what course(s), how many times a year you want to run the course. We can do once a week, once a month, once every other month or whatever you choose so that your 500 employees can be trained in the time you specify.

What are the prices of the courses?

Please call Kristina Scholze or Adam Hahn at 703-642-7450 or 1-800-779-4007 or use our Contact Us form to ask about our current different course prices for the Government, Corporations, GSA Schedule, course minimums, tailoring/modifying our courses to meet your organization's specific needs, volume discounts on multi-year contracts, and more.

What do other people say about CI Centre courses they've attended?

Since 1997 (for over 12 years!) when we began, attendees of our courses have consistently given them the highest ratings. We have more overwhelmingly positive course feedback/testimonies than we can list, but feedback is listed on most of our course pages, plus an overall sample is here and here.

What's the best way to evaluate a CI Centre course for my organization?

Run one pilot of the course for 25 select people in your organization and then look at the course feedback. We have an extensive feedback form for such a purpose or you can create your own feedback form to collect the information you need to decide if the course is right for your organization.

Can one of my people attend a course running for another client so they evaluate it?

No--1) Course runnings are private for clients employees only; 2) The course is modified to that particular client's organization, not for your organization; 3) statistically one or two people are not sufficient to adequately evaluate a course for an entire organization.

Where are your courses held? Where are you located?

The CI Centre is located in Alexandria, VA (just outside Washington, DC). Our courses are held in our fully-equipped training facility there or at your location anywhere in the US or the world. Additional travel expenses apply for courses held outside the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Can one of your CI Centre professors come and speak to my group? What is the cost?

Yes! Our instructors are available to come and speak to your group of any size as part of our Intelligence Speakers Bureau. Please Contact Us or call 1-800-779-4007 for current prices.

Are your courses available online?

No. Our courses are multimedia-rich, given by highly-experienced intelligence officers and we constantly update the presentations so they are not conducive to the online format. If you are interested in taking an online course, see the online accredited Henley-Putnam University which is focused on intelligence, counterterrorism and protection and offers bachelor, master and doctorate degrees.

How can I get a hard copy of the CI Centre Catalog?

Please call us at 1-800-779-4007 or 703-642-7450 to request a free copy of our printed catalog. It's a 52-page, full-color booklet with all our course descriptions and other information. You can also download the CI Centre Catalog. We also have a printed Counterterrorism Course catalog which you can download or request a copy.

What is the classification of your courses?

All CI Centre courses are specifically developed and taught at the unclassified level on purpose for a reason: to enable you to become an advocate of counterintelligence, counterterrorism and security and be able to talk to others about how important it is. Research for our courses are done through open sources such as books, articles, videos, internet, etc synthesized with the insight and vast experience of our knowledgeable professors who are experts in the intelligence field. We are able to go to the classified level for cleared audiences if you have a specific need or requirement.

Who can attend your courses?

Our courses are mostly for federal, state, local government and military employees, government contractors, business personnel, executives, and other organizations.

Can non-US organizations buy your courses?

I want to work for the FBI, CIA, or another agency in the US Intelligence Community (IC).
US citizens should go to the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) website where you will find links to all the agencies of the US Intelligence Community. On each site are job listings. Or go to USA Jobs or IntelligenceCareers.com. If you are a young person who wants to join one of these agencies some day, remember that an extensive background investigation and polygraph will be conducted on you if you apply for a job in the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc. Do not use any illegal drugs, be very responsible with alcohol, don't steal or do anything illegal, keep your finances in good order and do well in school. The DCI Directive 6/4 and the Annex C is what will be used to see if you should be hired by US intelligence agencies. If you are a non-US citizen who wants to work for US intelligence, go to a United States embassy or FBI office.

If you have a tip or lead to report to the FBI, fill out their FBI Tips and Public Leads form.

There is a broken link on your website.
